This winter O’Hara Machinery is undertaking a building project to drastically increase our shop space. Our customer’s equipment is getting bigger all the time and we are running out of space in our current building, so it’s time to build a new shop! The shop will be 90’x120’ with a 24’ ceiling and extend to the east from the center of our existing building. The new design would allow us to enhance our policy of having distinct service territories for even more personalized service for our customers. In December, Janssen Excavating prepared the site for the building and we got a new loading dock built, also. We brought in 8,000 tons of stone and raised parts of the ground as much as 6 feet to make everything level. The builders will be starting construction immediately and the excavators will be back in the spring to finish the work on the driveway.
